Leidemaul excels in the fast paced, high tech
specialty slide business and this multi axis slide design for high impact
shock loading is a great example. With two axis of linear and two axis of
rotational, all capable of being locked in place, rotated by motor or with
a small hand crank. This slide required twenty bearings per linear axis
with strokes up to six feet and rotation capabilities of up to thirty
degrees per axis. The impact load for this slide was approaching 130,000
foot pounds of torque and the slide assembly weight was approximately 3 ½
tons.
